Terms of Use

Last updated October 6, 2026

These terms explain the rules for using RepSearch. Please read them. By using the site, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

RepSearch is a research tool that helps students find reputable sources, read summaries and cite them correctly. "We" and "us" mean RepSearch. "You" means anyone who uses the site.

2. Who can use RepSearch

You must be at least 13 years old to use RepSearch. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, and they agree to these terms for you.

If your school gives you access, your school's rules also apply.

3. Your account

You can search without an account. To save evidence or use Deep research, you need a free account.

Keep your password private and don't share your account. You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us right away at support@userepsearch.com if you think someone else is using it.

4. Check your sources

RepSearch only searches reputable databases, and our AI is built to answer only from the sources it finds. Even so, AI can make mistakes, summaries can leave things out, and citations can need small fixes.

Always open the original source, read it yourself and check the citation before you use it in a paper, speech or round. RepSearch is a research helper. It is not legal, medical or financial advice.

5. Use it honestly

Use RepSearch to research, not to cheat. Follow your school's academic honesty rules and your debate league's evidence rules. You are responsible for the work you turn in.

Please don't:

• Try to break, overload or get around the limits of the site

• Scrape or copy the site with bots or automated tools

• Share, sell or resell your account or access

• Use the site to break the law or someone else's rights

6. Sources and copyright

The articles, studies and reports you find through RepSearch belong to their authors and publishers. We show titles, short summaries and short quotes, and we link to the original so you can read the full work there.

If you believe something on RepSearch infringes your copyright, email support@userepsearch.com with the work, where it appears on our site, and your contact information. We will review it and remove it if needed.

7. Library access and your uploads

If you add your school or public library's link, RepSearch only sends you to your library's own login page. We never see or store your library username or password. Using library databases is covered by your library's rules, so follow them.

RepSearch never logs in to your library, school or any subscription for you, and never uses one person's access for anyone else.

Uploading your own papers: if you have an account, you can upload a PDF of a research paper so the AI can read it for you. Only upload papers you're allowed to access and use (for example, ones you downloaded through your own library account). Uploaded papers are private: only you can use them, we delete the PDF file right after reading it, and we keep only the text so the AI can quote it. You can delete that text any time by removing the paper. We never share your uploads with other users or use them to train AI.

8. Free limits and paid plans

Free accounts and visitors have daily or weekly limits on AI answers and Deep research. We may change these limits to keep the service running.

Paid plans are not available yet. When they are, the price and billing terms will be shown to you before you pay, and payments will be handled by a secure payment provider.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using RepSearch at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@userepsearch.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

10. No guarantees

RepSearch is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it accurate and running, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or complete. To the extent the law allows, RepSearch is not responsible for losses that come from using the site or relying on its results.

11. Changes

We may update these terms as RepSearch grows. If we make a big change, we'll post it here and update the date at the top. Using RepSearch after a change means you accept the new terms.
